OREGON CITY, Ore. -- Oregon City High School was temporarily placed on lockdown Friday morning after a witness claimed people with guns were running near the school.
School district officials said they were advised by the Oregon City Police Dept. to put the school in lockdown as a precaution.
A witness called police from Clackamas Community College just after 11 a.m. to say he saw three men with long rifles or shotguns running through the woods toward the school, according to OCPDLt. Lisa Nunes.
The lockdown ended just after noon, Nunes said.
Police were checking surveillance video to confirm the witness account. Investigators did not find any evidence of weapons or suspects on the campus. CCC was not put in lockdown.
