HUBBARD, Ore. A Woodburn man and Portland woman walked away from a small plane crash Saturday morning.

Pilot Robert Teneyck, 81, was flying with passenger Rosalie Carman, 70, from Hubbard to Mulino, Oregon when he noticed the plane s altitude was too low as he approached trees, according to Deputy Marcus Mendoza of the Clackamas County Sheriff s Office.

Teneyck wasn t able to correct the plane s altitude in time and a wing struck a tree, which caused the plane to crash. It came down in a wooded area, with its nose to the ground.

Both Teneyck and Carman only suffered minor injuries, and when responders arrived, the victims had gotten out of the plane and were walking around, Mendoza said.

Teneyck was treated and released from Silverton Hospital. Carman was reportedly in good condition Saturday afternoon.
