WASHINGTON — "Last of Us" actor Pedro Pascal jokingly addressed his shoulder injury at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards.
While presenting the Emmy Award for supporting actor in a drama series, the 48-year-old actor seized the opportunity to poke fun at his arm sling.
"I'd like to take just a second to make this about me," Pascal joked. "A lot of people have been asking about my arm... it's actually my shoulder."
The actor went on to "explain" that "Succession" actor Kieran Culkin "beat the s--- out of me."
Pascal debuted his stylish arm sling during the 81st Golden Globes on Jan. 7, and left many wondering what happened.
At the time, the "Mandalorian" actor told People magazine that he simply "fell."
The 75th Emmys returned Monday after a four-month delay due to the Hollywood strikes.
The ceremony was catapulted from its usual perch in late summer or early fall to squarely in the midst of winter – better known in Hollywood as awards season.
“The Last of Us” comes in with a big head start on the grand total after winning eight at the Creative Arts Emmys, which were held about a week before the main ceremony.
The dystopian video-game adaption won best guest actor and guest actress in a drama for memorable one-episode performances from Nick Offerman and Storm Reid. And it dominated in the technical categories, winning best visual effects and best prosthetic makeup for its fungus-faced walking dead.
