MELBOURNE, Fla. — Kate Chastain, chief stewardess on Bravo's hit reality show Below Deck, was arrested Monday in Melbourne Beach, her hometown.
Police charged Chastain with battery by strangulation domestic violence, according to the Brevard County Clerk of Courts.
TMZ.com reported Chastain was booked Monday night after a domestic violence investigation was launched when her girlfriend went to work with bruising on her arm.
Chastain has appeared on seasons two and three of the luxury yachting docuseries, which follows the lives of the millionaire guests and the crew that serves them. Chastain, 33, attended Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and Melbourne Central Catholic.
She graduated from the University of Central Florida.
She's been in the yachting industry since about 2007, working her way up from laundry stewardess to chief stew.
She reportedly appeared in court Tuesday afternoon and posted a $5,000 bond.
