HOOD RIVER, Ore. -- A 27-year-old woman from Seattle reported missing last month was found dead in the Columbia River at Hood River Monday night, police said.
Holly Kristen Lester was last seen alive near the Port of Hood River on March 15. Police said at the time she was distraught and that she had a history of depression.
According to police, Lester had spent several months traveling with her boyfriend and another man, and she was likely trying to return to Seattle.
The investigation is ongoing. The cause and manner of death have not yet been determined. An autopsy has been scheduled.
