LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. -- A woman was struck and killed by a driver in Lake Oswego Thursday afternoon, police said.
Police identified the woman as 66-year-old Louise Fay Marandas.
The driver, an 84-year-old man, told police he could not see the woman because the sun was in his eyes. He was driving between 5-10 mph, police said, and drove over Marandas at a low speed after knocking her down.
Marandas died at the scene.
The crash occurred at 3rd Street and B Avenue, according to Lake Oswego Fire.
No charges have been filed.
