LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A woman was killed after a tree fell onto a homeless encampment in Lynnwood Tuesday evening.
According to South County Fire, crews arrived to the scene just after 7 p.m. and found a woman in her 50s dead at the scene along Alderwood Mall Parkway and 170th Street Southwest.
No one else was injured in the incident, according to South County Fire.
The incident occurred amid a significant storm that is bringing gusty winds, heavy rain and mountain snow to the region.
