CLARK COUNTY, Wash. — A man in Washington is facing a murder charge after admitting that he stabbed and killed his sister, according to the Clark County Sheriff's Office.
On Wednesday at 11:33 p.m., Clark County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a disturbance with a weapon near Northeast 123rd Court and Northeast 74th Street. The person who made the report said he went to the home to contact 36-year-old Diane Robinson, who he had not heard from in several days. When he arrived, he spoke to her brother, Dwayne Robinson, who also lives at the home. The person said Dwayne Robinson told him that he had stabbed and killed Diane Robinson, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies detained Dwyane Robinson. They searched the home and found a woman dead inside. The woman's official identification is pending.
Dwayne Robinson was booked into the Clark County Jail for murder in the first degree. On Thursday afternoon, Robinson's attorney requested a competency hearing. The judge did not set bail, so Robinson will remain behind bars for the time being. His next court appearance is set for Oct. 2.
The Clark County Sheriff's Office has not released any additional details about what led up to the deadly stabbing. The Major Crimes Unit is investigating the case.
