KELSO, Wash. — The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is investigating a car crash that killed three people in Kelso.

On April 30, at 8:37 p.m., Jamesha S. Berryman, 31, was driving north on Pacific Avenue and crossed the center line, hitting a second car head-on near the intersection of Columbia Street. Berryman was pronounced dead at the scene, WSP said.

The two passengers in Berryman's car were airlifted but died at the hospital; both men were not wearing a seatbelt, according to the WSP. Their names will be released to the public once their families are notified.

The driver of the other car, 41-year-old Benjermen R. Day, was injured; his passenger, 35-year-old Joshua D. Cissel, refused first aid at the scene, WSP said.

It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
