VANCOUVER, Wash. — One person was killed and two others were injured in a four-vehicle crash on Highway 14 in Vancouver Wednesday night, according to a Washington State Patrol news release. Alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash, police said.
The crash happened at around 9:40 p.m. about a mile west of the Interstate 205 interchange when a car traveling the wrong way in the westbound lanes of SR-14 crashed into a car travelling in the correct direction.
The wrong-way car continued and struck a second westbound car, while the first car to be hit subsequently crashed into a fourth car, police said. The westbound lanes were all blocked when the four cars came to a stop.
The news release did not mention any further details about the identities of the people involved in the crash or how long the freeway remained closed afterward.
This is a developing story and will be updated if more information becomes available.
