VANCOUVER, Wash. — Vancouver homicide detectives are investigating after a woman was found dead inside a car last Friday. The woman's child was also inside the vehicle.
The child did not appear to be physically injured, police said, and currently, the child is being cared for by family. Police confirmed to KGW that the woman was the mother of the child.
The woman has been identified as 31-year-old Courtney Valencia Clinton of Portland.
Detectives from the Vancouver Police Department are investigating the incident as a homicide, with the cause of death as incised wounds of the neck, according to the Clark County medical examiner.
Officers found Clinton's body inside a car in the area of North Blandford Drive and East Evergreen Boulevard in Vancouver on Nov. 1 around 4:25 a.m.
