VANCOUVER, Wash. — A motorcyclist has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a truck in Vancouver.
On Friday, just before 3 p.m., the Vancouver Police Department responded a collision at Grand and Mill Plain boulevards.
Police said a Ford Ranger had pulled out from an AM/PM driveway and crossed the eastbound lanes to enter the turn lane toward northbound Grand Boulevard. The truck pulled out in front of a motorcycle rider who was traveling east on Mill Plain Boulevard, resulting in the crash.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, police said. It is not known at this time the motorcycle rider's identity or their exact condition.
The driver of the truck was not injured and stayed on scene, police said, adding that impairment does not seem to be a factor in the collision.
This is a developing story and may be updated with more details as they emerge.
