PORTLAND, Ore. — Oregon health officials on Wednesday reported 61 new cases of COVID-19 and two more deaths.
The coronavirus death toll in Oregon is now 101 people.
The Oregon Health Authority released the following information about the people who died:
- Oregon’s 100th COVID-19 death is a 75-year-old man in Multnomah County, who tested positive on April 20 and died on April 22 at his residence. He had underlying medical conditions.
- Oregon’s 101st COVID-19 death is a 71-year-old woman in Multnomah County, who tested positive on April 11 and died on April 20 at Adventist Hospital. She had underlying medical conditions.
Oregon’s 61 new known cases bring the statewide total to 2,446. The amount of active infections is unclear.
The new cases were found in the following counties:
- Clackamas: 1
- Hood River: 1
- Jefferson: 4
- Linn: 1
- Marion: 18
- Multnomah: 19
- Polk: 1
- Umatilla: 8
- Washington: 7
- Yamhill: 1

On Tuesday, Oregon reported seven new deaths of COVID-19, the most the state has reported in a single day during the pandemic.
