William Jack Parkerson, 30, has been accused of attempted aggravated murder with a firearm and first-degree assault with a firearm, said Klamath County District Attorney Rob Patridge.

Patridge later said a major crime team arrested arrested 34-year-old Karey Leigh Pascoe in connection with the shooting. She was accused of conspiracy to commit attempted aggravated murder with a firearm, aggravated murder, and first-degree assault with a firearm.

A third person, Christopher Holmgren, was in the vehicle involved in the shooting, KOBI reports. Holmgren was arrested for probation violation but officials said he has not been charged with crimes related to the shooting.

Police on Thursday found the black 1989 Jeep Cherokee wanted in connection with the shooting. The SUV was found between the communities of North Klamath and Rocky Point, Oregon State Police said.

Weber was shot in the face and the side during a traffic stop shortly before noon in Klamath Falls, police said.

"He did not even have a chance to draw his weapon," said Sheriff Frank Skrah.

"It was probably 11:47 and we heard a couple of gunshots," added neighbor Danita Jones. "Freaked me out."

Weber was taken to Sky Lakes Medical Center in critical condition. Hospital spokesman Tom Hottman said Weber was then flown to Portland and taken to OHSU.

Sheriff Skrah released the following statement Thursday morning:

We appreciate the efforts of all of the law enforcement who have assisted us in the apprehension of these suspects. We are fortunate to have such a strong brotherhood under the badge. Now that the suspects are in custody I want to announce that Deputy Jason Weber, a dedicated deputy sheriff for seven years was the deputy who is the victim of this brutal shooting. Deputy Weber is with his family at Oregon Health & Science University currently undergoing surgery under the care of seven physicians and is in serious but stable condition.

The family knows that the thoughts and prayers of the community go out to them at this difficult time. It is the request of Deputy Weber's family that all contact related to Deputy Weber's condition be directed to the Klamath County Sheriff's Office.

Police did not say whether tips from the pubic helped them find the suspects.
