HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. — TriMet buses are being detoured for several hours near Clackamas Town Center on Friday to avoid traffic and major delays due to holiday shopping.

From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., buses will not stop at the Clackamas Town Center Transit Center or the eastbound stop at the mall, according to TriMet. Riders can transfer between buses and the MAX Green Line trains at a temporary stop at the Southeast Fuller Road MAX station.

TriMet is encouraging riders to budget an extra 20 minutes during their trip while the detours are in place.

Buses will be also detoured between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 23 and Sunday, Dec. 24. More information about the detour is available on TriMet's website.
