MYRTLE CREEK, Ore.-- One man is dead and another is under arrest after a stabbing in Douglas County, Oregon. Douglas County Sheriff's deputies responded to 185 Surprise Avenue in Myrtle Creek on Wednesday about 2:30 pm to find Chris A. Bell stabbed multiple times, and was declared dead at the scene.
Other people at the residence told deputies that 22 year old Gunnar Vachon of Myrtle Creek had left the home after the stabbing. Vachon was located nearby and taken into custody without incident. Vachon was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on a charge of murder.
Next of kin has been notified.
