PORTLAND, Ore. — Tigard police has said there was not a shooting or shots fired at Washington Square Malls on Sunday, following an incident involving shattered glass.
A glass case was shattered inside a store by a disgruntled employee, Tigard police said, leading to some panic inside the mall as people worked to figure out the sound.
"There was NEVER a shooting or shots fired, as some rumors indicated," Tigard police posted on X.
KGW received messages and calls that some mall employees were evacuated. Tigard police said that they did not issue any evacuations for the incident.
