PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was hit by a MAX Yellow line train in North Portland on Friday morning, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) reported. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened around 6:38 a.m. on North Interstate Avenue near Church Street.
TriMet reported on social media that MAX Orange and Yellow line service is disrupted in the area. Shuttle buses are being used to transport riders, serving all stops between North Prescott Street and North Lombard Transit Center. TriMet said travelers should expect traffic delays.
