1 person dies in Fairview house fire

Gresham Fire and the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office is working to determine what caused the fatal fire.

PORTLAND, Ore. — One person died in a house fire Sunday morning in Fairview, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 10:30 a.m., Gresham Fire and Rescue crews responded to reports of a house fire near Creekside Terrace. When crews arrived they were able to put out the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby homes, Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said.

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office says one person died in the fire and it remains unclear what caused the fire.

Both Gresham Fire and the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office detectives are working to determine what caused the fatal fire.
