PORTLAND, Ore. — Oregon health officials on Friday reported one more death and 69 new cases of COVID-19 in the state. The coronavirus death toll in Oregon is now 104 people.
The person who died was a 73-year-old Multnomah County man who had underlying health conditions. He tested positive on April 14 and died Wednesday.
Oregon’s 69 new known cases are among 2,144 new test results reported Friday, meaning 2,075 people (96%) tested negative for the virus. The 69 new cases are in the following counties:
- Benton: 2
- Clackamas: 8
- Clatsop: 1
- Coos: 1
- Douglas: 1
- Josephine: 1
- Klamath: 1
- Linn: 1
- Malheur: 2
- Marion: 17
- Morrow: 2
- Multnomah: 13
- Polk: 3
- Umatilla: 7
- Washington: 9
There has been a total of 2,579 known coronavirus cases in Oregon. The amount of active infections is unclear. A total of 58,176 people have been tested with 55,597 tests (95%) coming back negative. Click here for numbers from the Oregon Health Authority
