Oregon City police: Missing mother, her two children found

Maddie Holmes and her two children were safely located on Tuesday, police said. They were reported missing the day prior.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Oregon City Police Department said Tuesday that a mother who disappeared with her two young children on Saturday has been found safe.

Maddie Holmes, 35, was last seen at her mother's home near 900 South End Road on June 1 with her two children, 4 and 5 years old. Police launched a missing person investigation on Tuesday.

Holmes was believed to be suffering from a mental health crisis, police said.

According to police, Holmes frequently visits camping sites and may have been in the vicinity of the 364,000-acre Tillamook State Forest in Yamhill County.
