Missing man found safe

Portland police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing 75-year-old man who was last seen Tuesday afternoon.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing 75-year-old man who was last seen Tuesday afternoon.

Gerald "Gerry" Thurlow was last seen at the Fred Meyer store at Southeast 148th Avenue and Division Street. He was supposed to follow his daughter on a drive to the Willamette National Cemetery to visit his late wife’s grave, police said.

Thurlow was driving a black 2015 Chrysler 200, license plate 471JPF. He recently moved to Mt. Angel, Oregon, from Gresham, and may be confused about his location.

He is described as 6-foot-1, 238 pounds with white hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and brown shoes.

Anyone who sees Thurlow or his car should call 911.
