ST PAUL, Ore. — Three people died in a crash reported in Marion County on Saturday afternoon.
The crash occurred on McKay Road NE, just east of Highway 219 near St. Paul. A passerby came upon the two-vehicle collision after it occurred and called 911 at around 3:20 p.m.
Crash investigators determined that a pickup truck driving westbound on McKay Road left the roadway, came back on and struck a box van driving eastbound.
No survivors were found in the wreckage, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The names of the individuals killed in the crash will not be released until authorities have notified their families.
McKay Road will be closed for several hours while deputies investigate.
