VANCOUVER, Wash. — A woman is dead after being stabbed by a man she knew who also stabbed himself earlier this month, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
Officers were called to a disturbance around 7:45 p.m. on July 7, at Southeast 160th Avenue just off Mill Plain Boulevard.
On Friday, the Clark County Medical Examiner's Office identified the woman killed as 42-year-old Dolores Jones. She died of multiple stab wounds to her upper body, according to the medical examiner.
The man was taken to the hospital after officers gave him first aid. On Monday, Vancouver Police Department said the man died from his injuries. He has not yet been publicly identified.
Vancouver police did not disclose how the suspect and victim were acquainted. The Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit is investigating the woman's death.
