PORTLAND, Ore. – A man was killed and another person injured in a head-on crash between a car and TriMet bus in Southeast Portland Thursday night.
At about 6:20 p.m., the driver of the car, identified as 45-year-old Ronnie Bernard Davis Sr., was traveling down the hill on Mt. Scott Boulevard near Southeast 104th Avenue when he crossed the center line and collided with the bus, according to Portland police.
Davis died at a Portland hospital.
Medics took the bus driver to a Clackamas County hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The bus driver was later released from the hospital.
There was just one passenger on the bus, who was not injured, according to police.
The investigation will be reviewed by the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office.
