OREGON CITY, Ore. — A man was killed by a train on Saturday in Oregon City, Oregon, according to the Oregon City Police Department (OCPD).
On Saturday at around 8:30 a.m., Oregon City police responded to reports of a man getting hit by a train at the 11th Street Crossing at 11th Street and Center Street, according to OCPD.
Oregon City police said when they arrived the man was pronounced dead.
The name of the man will be released to the public once the family has been notified by the Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office.
A representative for Union Pacific told KGW that none of the train crew was injured and working to with police to understand what led up to the incident.
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office CRAFT team alongside the OCPD will be investigating the fatal incident.
