SALEM, Ore. — A man drowned in a pond near a Salem softball complex, police said.
The man was found dead on the north end of Wallace Marine Park on Thursday afternoon. Police responded to a report of a drowning at 3:10 p.m.
Police said the drowning appeared to be accidental.
The man’s name was not immediately released.
