1 person dead in Southwest Portland crash

This was the second fatal crash in the city of Portland on Christmas Day, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

PORTLAND, Ore. — One person has died in a single car crash on the evening of Christmas Day in Southwest Portland, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

At around 1:00 p.m. Portland police responded to reports of a car crash on Southwest Barbur Boulevard and Southwest Taylors Ferry. When officers arrived they found an adult male who was later pronounced dead, according to Portland police.

Portland police has not yet released the identify of the driver.  

More information will be released when appropriate. This is the second fatal crash in the City of Portland on Christmas Day, according to Portland police.

The Major Crash Team is investigating, and Southwest Barbur Boulevard at Southwest Taylor's Ferry was closed for several hours after the crash.
