FAIRVIEW, Oregon — A Fairview family got a big scare over the weekend when they found a stranger inside their home.
"It's scary," said Tonya, who did not want to share her last name.
Tonya was cooking dinner for the family when all of a sudden she heard a scream from her 6-year-old daughter.
"My sister comes screaming down the hallway and she’s like, 'There’s a man in my bedroom!'" Hiba said.
Tonya and Hiba booked it down the hallway. Sure enough, there was a stranger sitting on the bed. Tonya yelled at the man to leave immediately.
"He just stood there with a weird, eerie face and mugged me with his hands crossed," Tonya said.
A relative happened to be visiting at the time and he physically removed the man from the house.
"You guys need to lock your doors, be aware of this guy," Virgil said. "He's not a friendly guy, he's a violent person."
Virgil was running an errand when a frantic Tonya called him to say there was a stranger in the house. He raced home and he and two other men wrestled the guy to the ground and held him there until police arrived.
"He sat in my girls' room," Virgil said. "They won't go in there now."

The suspect uses several names, including Jesse James. His name is Christian Evan Chism, according to the Multnomah County District Attorney's office.
Chism, 49, was was cited and released, upsetting the family. It turns he already had been arrested and released after an arrest Oct. 13 in downtown Portland for criminal trespass. He did not appear in court for that offense.
"It makes me nervous, wondering what he's doing out there and where he is," Hiba said.
Seeing as Chism walked into the house through an unlocked door, the family is pledging to be extra vigilant and lock their doors.
"I'm terrified he's going to come back," Tonya said. "I don’t know what his intentions were."
