'Lullaby Project' allows homeless moms to create personal songs for kids

Musicians met with homeless mothers for create personal lullabies for their kids.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- For so many parents, whether you can carry a tune or not, a lullaby is a useful way to settle things down.

A special program is giving some homeless moms a chance to create personal lullabies just for their kids.

The Lullaby Project is made possible by a partnership between the Oregon Symphony and Portland Homeless Family Solutions.

All the songs were professionally recorded. Musicians met with homeless mothers for create personal lullabies for their kids.

You can all the songs in a free concert on April 26. Tickets will be available at the Oregon Symphony’s website on Monday.
