Barn in Sandy catches on fire; road closed as crews respond

SANDY, Ore. — Firefighters are asking people to avoid the area as they battle a barn fire in Sandy. 

Around 10:03 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a barn fire on Southeast Ten Eyck and Southeast Thomas roads. The fire was "fully engulfed" and extending towards trees, according to Clackamas Fire. 

Crews are currently working on extinguishing the fire, and Southeast Ten Eyck Road near Southeast Thomas Road is closed.
