PORTLAND, Ore. — Easter Sunday is going to look a lot different for us this year.
For the first time in many of our lives, Sunday service won’t be held in a church, because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Many churches will be going virtual, like they have been for the last month.
Adam McMurray is the senior pastor at River West in Lake Oswego. He knew Sunday’s celebration wasn’t going to be the same. Over the past few weeks they’ve been finding a new way to bring Sunday service to church members, because of Oregon's stay-at-home order.
“We set up a recording studio, and we’re ready to continue the good news to people whatever it takes,” said McMurray.
He says this Sunday may be far different from what anyone could imagine but his church plans on doing what they have been doing, and that’s "just be a church" according to McMurray.
Many churches in our area said they plan on having church services online, just like they have been for the last month.
