1 person killed in crash involving school bus, motorcycle in Tualatin

The driver of the bus and the two children on the bus were not injured, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said.

A motorcyclist died in a crash with a school bus on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023 in Tualatin, Ore.

TUALATIN, Ore. — Police are investigating a deadly crash involving a school bus and a motorcycle on Southwest 65th Avenue and Southwest Prosperity Park Road in Tualatin, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

The motorcyclist was killed, the sheriff's office said. He has been identified as 45-year-old William Hinshaw of Tualatin. His family is asking for privacy at this time.

The bus is affiliated with the West Linn-Wilsonville school district. There were three people on the bus, the driver and two children, and none of them were injured. Families of the two children have been notified about what happened.

Firefighters with Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the crash around 7:17 a.m. Monday morning.

Deputies have not released any information surrounding what led up to the crash.

The street between Southwest Robbins Road and Southwest Sagert Road will be closed for the next several hours, the sheriff's office said.
