OREGON CITY, Ore. -- Two students suffered minor injuries when a car collided with a school bus in Oregon City Friday morning, according to the Clackamas County Fire Department.
The crash was reported just after 7:30 a.m. at South Maplelane Road and South Country Village Drive.
Two of the Redland Elementary School students were hospitalized with minor injuries.
The driver of the car was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening, according to fire spokesman Brandon Paxton.
Others complained of minor injuries and were evaluated at the scene, Paxton said.
About half of the 33 students were taken to school on a different bus. The remaining students went home with their parents.
Deputies closed the intersection and drivers were asked to avoid the area if possible.
