SUNRIVER, Ore. – A forest fire burning about two miles west of Sunriver has burned 200 acres and is about 80 percent contained as of Sunday, according to a report from Central Oregon Fire Information.

Crews were working to hold and improve the containment line Friday and mom up any hotspots, officials said.
The Sunriver fire started at around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of River Summit Drive and Forest Road 40.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
A level one evacuation (get ready) was issued for properties near the Fall River Fish Hatchery and the Fall River Estates subdivision.
The Deschutes River was reopened between Harper’s Bridge and the Sunriver Resort Marina after being closed Thursday while helicopters dipped water out of the river to fight the fire.
Multiple roads surrounding the fire are closed. According to Central Oregon Fire Information, road closures are in place at:
- Forest Road 42/4220 junction
- Forest Road 42/4230 junction
- Forest Road 46/45 junction
- Forest Road 40/4230 junction
- Forest Road 40/41 junction
- Forest Road 42/4240 junction
- Forest Road 40/4270 junction
