BELLEVUE, Wash. — Russell Wilson purchased a five-acre home in the Denver area not long after the Seahawks traded the quarterback to the Denver Broncos in 2022, spending about $25 million on the property.
As trade rumors continue to circulate the embattled Wilson, he has "quietly" put that same property up for sale, BusinessDen reported earlier this month citing sources. The home, spread across five acres, has four bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and a 2,590-square-foot pool house with an indoor pool.
Wilson made similar headlines shortly after his trade from the Seahawks when he listed his waterfront Bellevue mansion for a steep $28 million asking price. Nearly two years after it was first listed, Wilson's home remains available on real estate sites, with a slightly lowered ask of $26 million.
After signing a reported five-year contract worth over $240 million after the trade, Wilson has not lived up to expectations with the Broncos and was even benched for the team's final two regular-season games.
The Seahawks didn't experience nearly as much of a drop-off in success as many expected after Wilson's departure. Geno Smith won the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year Award for his efforts in the 2022 season when he also led Seattle to the playoffs. The Seahawks came up just short of a postseason berth with Smith under center in 2023 and now enter a brand-new era after Pete Carroll's surprising ouster as head coach in January.
