MT HOOD, Ore. — The Northwest Avalanche Center (NAC) issued a Level 4 (high) avalanche warning for Mt. Hood on Sunday night.

The warning will be in effect until Monday at 6 p.m.

On its website, the NAC said traveling in the avalanche terrain is not recommended.

"Triggering a slide is likely and will be big enough to bury or kill you," NAC wrote in a tweet.
