BEAVERTON, Ore. – A video of an alpaca named Napoleon visiting a Beaverton nursing home has gone viral after the alpaca paid special attention to one of the home's residents.

Napoleon, a 4-year-old alpaca, was dressed in his Christmas best when he visited the Maryville Nursing Home in Beaverton Tuesday.

The home's residents all had the chance to pet the friendly alpaca. But it was a special interaction with one man that surprised everyone in the room.

Staff created a short video of Napoleon's visit (watch to see the alpaca kiss a resident named Bill at the end). So far, the video has more than 1,200 shares on the nursing home's Facebook page.

"It's taken off beyond our wildest dreams," said Barbara Kerr, spokeswoman for the Maryville Nursing Home.

Napoleon is a therapy alpaca with Mtn Peaks Therapy Llamas and Alpacas in Vancouver. A llama named Rojo, known as "the world's most beloved llama," is also a well-known visitor at local hospitals, kids camps and senior centers.
