Missing Indigenous woman found safe in Spokane

Amanda Pakootas is 38 years old, 5'7", and has black hair and brown eyes.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — UPDATE: Amanda Pakootas has been located and is safe. Police continue to search for Joseph Parisien. 

Washington State Patrol (WSP) is looking for a missing indigenous person last seen in Airway Heights.

Amanda Pakootas was last seen leaving a friend's home in Airway Heights. She is is 38 years old, 5'7", and has black hair and brown eyes.

WSP believe a man named Joseph Parisien is involved in her disappearance. Parisien is 51 years old, 5' 10". and has black hair and brown eyes. A picture of him can be found below.

According to WSP, Pakootas unwillingly left her friend's house after an incident with Parisien around 1 p.m. on Saturday. WSP said a silver 2013 Toyota 4Runner with a Washington license plate (CDM7749) is involved in her disappearance.

WSP is asking with any information on Pakootas' or Parisien's location to call 911 and reference case 2024-84006746.
