OAK GROVE, Ore. -- A TriMet bus was rear-ended by a pickup truck in Oak Grove Monday morning, sending four people to the hospital.
Witnesses said the bus had pulled over at a bus stop when the truck smashed into it.
The driver of the truck was taken to Oregon Health and Science University with traumatic injuries, according to Clackamas Fire. Three bus passengers were also hurt and taken to area hospitals. No further details have been released about their conditions.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Southeast McLoughlin Boulevard and Silver Springs Road, near the Milwaukie Elks Lodge, just before noon.
Witnesses said the truck appeared to be totaled in the crash and the bus sustained rear-end damage.
Clackamas firefighters responded to the scene, along with Oregon State Police and TriMet.
The roadway has now been reopened.
