SALEM, Ore. — Salem police are investigating a shooting Thursday evening that left one person in critical condition.
Police did not give further details about the victim, the suspect information, or what led up to the shooting.
Police do not believe there is any danger to the public.
Officers closed 17th Street from Kay to Kansas Avenue Northeast. People are asked to avoid the area for several areas while officers investigate.
