Two more COVID-19 deaths, 64 new cases in Oregon

29 people have now died of COVID-19 in the state, and 1,132 people in Oregon have tested positive for the coronavirus.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Two more Oregonians have died and 64 more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the state, health officials reported Monday.

There have been 29 deaths due to the new coronavirus and 1,132 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Oregon. A total of 21,801 people have been tested in the state and 95% of the tests have been negative.

A 93-year-old man in Washington County died Saturday after testing positive on March 30, and a 70-year-old woman in Marion County died Thursday after testing positive the day before. Both had underlying medical conditions.

The 64 new cases were reported in the following counties:

  • Benton: 2
  • Clackamas: 6
  • Columbia: 2
  • Curry: 2
  • Deschutes: 1
  • Douglas: 1
  • Jackson: 6
  • Josephine: 3
  • Klamath: 3
  • Lane: 2
  • Linn: 1
  • Marion: 11
  • Multnomah: 10
  • Polk: 2
  • Umatilla: 1
  • Washington: 12
