PORTLAND, Ore. — Six more Oregonians have died from COVID-19, bringing the state’s death toll to 64 people, state health officials said Thursday.
The six deaths match the highest number of reported deaths in one day for Oregon. Six deaths were also reported on April 9.
The Oregon Health Authority reported the following details about the people who died. All six had underlying medical conditions.
- An 84-year-old man from Multnomah County. He tested positive March 24 and died April 13 at his home.
- A 56-year-old man from Multnomah County. He tested positive March 28 and died April 14 at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center.
- A 78-year-old man from Multnomah County. He tested positive March 30 and died April 14 at his home.
- A 69-year-old man from Multnomah County. He tested positive April 13 and died April 15 at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center.
- A 74-year-old woman from Benton County. She tested positive April 2 and died April 14 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
- A 92-year-old man from Marion County. He tested positive April 11 and died April 14 at his home.
Health officials also reported 73 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday. The people live in the following counties:
- Benton: 2
- Clackamas: 8
- Deschutes: 4
- Douglas: 2
- Klamath: 3
- Lane: 1
- Linn: 1
- Malheur: 1
- Marion: 15
- Multnomah: 18
- Umatilla: 5
- Washington: 12
- Yamhill: 1
Oregon’s statewide total is now 1,736 cases.
