PORTLAND, Ore — Four more people in Oregon have died from COVID-19, bringing the state’s death toll up to 48 people, officials announced Friday.
The Oregon Health Authority released the following information about the four people who died.
- A 74-year-old man in Multnomah County, who tested positive on March 24 and died April 4 at his residence. He had underlying medical conditions.
- An 81-year-old man in Multnomah County, who tested positive on March 30 and died April 5 at his residence. He had underlying medical conditions.
- A 69-year-old man in Multnomah County, who tested positive on April 2 and died April 9 at his residence. He had underlying medical conditions.
- An 83-year-old man in Multnomah County, who tested positive on April 3 and died April 7 at Providence Portland Medical Center. He had underlying medical conditions.
The OHA also announced 51 new known coronavirus cases. The people live in the following counties:
- Clackamas: 7
- Clatsop: 1
- Deschutes: 1
- Hood River: 1
- Josephine: 1
- Klamath: 4
- Lane: 1
- Marion: 11
- Multnomah: 15
- Washington: 9
A total of 1,371 people in Oregon have tested positive for COVID-19. It’s not known how many of those cases are still active. To date, a total of 27,224 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Oregon and 25,853 people (95%) have tested negative.
