One more death, 57 new COVID-19 cases reported in Oregon

There is now a total of 1,584 known COVID-19 cases in Oregon, including 53 people who have died.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Another Oregonian has died from COVID-19, bringing the state’s death toll up to 53 people, officials reported Monday.

The Oregon Health Authority reported that the person who died was a 66-year-old woman from Washington County. She tested positive on March 30 and died April 12. She had underlying medical conditions.

The OHA also announced 57 new known coronavirus cases. The people live in the following counties:

  • Clackamas: 7
  • Columbia: 2
  • Douglas: 2
  • Jackson: 1
  • Josephine: 1
  • Lane: 4
  • Marion: 4
  • Multnomah: 24
  • Washington: 12

A total of 1,584 people in Oregon have tested positive for COVID-19. It’s not known how many of those cases are still active. To date, a total of 31,121 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Oregon and 29,537 people (95%) have tested negative.
