One more death, 80 new COVID-19 cases reported in Oregon

There is now a total of 1,527 known COVID-19 cases in Oregon, including 52 people who have died.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Another Oregonian has died from COVID-19, bringing the state’s death toll up to 52 people, officials reported Sunday.

The Oregon Health Authority reported that the person who died was an 89-year-old woman from Multnomah County. She tested positive on March 25 and died the same day. She had underlying medical conditions.

The OHA also announced 80 new known coronavirus cases. The people live in the following counties:

  • Benton: 1
  • Clackamas: 4
  • Deschutes: 1
  • Douglas: 2
  • Jackson: 2
  • Josephine: 1
  • Lane: 2
  • Linn: 1
  • Malheur: 1
  • Marion: 13
  • Multnomah: 31
  • Umatilla: 2
  • Wasco: 1
  • Washington: 18

A total of 1,527 people in Oregon have tested positive for COVID-19. It’s not known how many of those cases are still active. To date, a total of 29,758 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Oregon and 28,231 people (95%) have tested negative.
