Woodburn police arrest 2 boys for attempted murder in 7-Eleven parking lot shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. — One juvenile was injured in a shooting near the 7-Eleven store in Woodburn on Friday, police said. 

On Tuesday, police arrested two boys for the shooting. An 11-year-old is charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault, first-degree attempted assault and unlawful use of a weapon. The other boy, the 15-year-old is charged with two counts of attempted murder, first-degree assault, first-degree attempted assault and conspiracy, Woodburn police said.  

Around 10 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to reports of a shooting "at or near" the 7-Eleven store on North Pacific Highway near East Lincoln Street, Woodburn police said. Two groups of juveniles got into an altercation in the parking lot when one of them took out a gun and shot a person in the stomach, according to a news release shared on Monday. The victim was transported to a hospital and remains in stable condition, police said.

Police have not released any other details about the suspects or the juvenile who was shot.
