Truck hits 17-year-old skateboarder; Woodburn police seek help in hit-in-run

A truck hit a 17-year-old who was skateboarding near East Cleveland Avenue and Ogle Street, Woodburn police said.

WOODBURN, Ore. — Woodburn police is asking for information about a hit-and-run crash that injured a teenager earlier this month.

Police officers responded to the hit-and-run at 6:11 p.m. on Sept. 7 near East Cleveland Avenue and Ogle Street. A truck hit a 17-year-old who was skateboarding in the area, Woodburn police said. The teenager had minor injuries.

On Thursday, Sept. 19, police released a photo of the suspect vehicle, which appears to be a bright red, 1990s Ford Ranger pickup truck with a black lumber rack and a small gray boat on it.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Woodburn Police Department and reference case number 24-11754.
