Vancouver woman found dead in tent after apparent drive-by shooting, police say

Investigators don't believe the shooting was random. They said there's no current threat to the public.

VANCOUVER, Wash. — A woman was found dead in a tent following what appears to be a drive-by shooting on Wednesday in Vancouver, police said. 

Around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, officers found the woman on Northeast 66th Avenue near Fourth Plain Boulevard dead from an "apparent" gunshot wound. 

Clark County Medical Examiner's Office identified the woman as 39-year-old Keomany Phetchitvathanalay. She died from multiple gunshot wounds.

At this time, Vancouver Police Department investigators don't believe the shooting was random,. They said there's no current threat to the public. 

Anyone with information related to this crime is asked to call Vancouver police.
