TUALATIN, Ore. – Officers responding to a reported assault in Tualatin Thursday night found a 73-year-old woman dead and a 47-year-old man seriously injured inside a home, police said.
The suspect, 40-year-old Michael Stuart Ross, was also inside the home. Officers took him into custody. Police said Ross lives at the home.
Tualatin police were called to the home in the 17000 block of Southwest Shawnee Trail just before 11 p.m.
The woman appeared to have died of homicidal violence, police said.
The wounded victim was taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
The names of the victims were not immediately released.
